What is a Lace Wig?
A lace wig is a hairpiece that cannot be distinguished from real hair. The front of the wig is made from a piece of lace where the hairs are tied by hand to create a natural hairline.
There are different types of Lace Wigs:
- Closure wig
- 13x4 frontal wig
- 13x6 frontal wig
- 360 lace wig
- full lace wig
A closure wig has a lace area of 4x4 inch or 5x5 inch, which is enough for natural looking parting. The rest of the wig consists weave tracks, which limits you in what you can do with the hair. If you are looking for an easy to wear wig where you only want to wear your hair down, a closure wig is perfect for you.
A 13x4 frontal wig has lace around your entire facial contour and a depth of 4 inches that allows you to wear the hair not only in a natural center and side part, but also completely out of your face. Because the lace runs from ear to ear, you have a completely natural hairline in the front. The rest of the wig consists weave tracks, so you still have to take into account that you can only wear this wig down or in a half up-do.
A 13x6 frontal wig also has lace all the way around your face contour, but a depth of 6 inches that allows you to create a deeper natural parting. The rest of the wedge consists weave tracks and this wig can also be worn only down or in a half up-do.
A 360 lace wig has the lace around your entire hairline (face, behind your ears and in your neck). The crown consists of weave tracks. You have 6 inch lace all around your head, so you can not only draw natural partings wherever you want, but also wear the hair in a ponytail or bun.
A full lace wig is completely knotted by hand and is therefore the most natural hairpiece among the lace wigs. You can do anything with the hair; loose, updo, partings and braiding. Are you looking for a hairpiece that you can do everything with as you could with your own, then a full lace wig is the perfect solution for you.
